Written by Webmaster
Wednesday, 15 October 2008
  • AMA membership is required for all EPA members and strongly recommended for all others.
  • Always fly safe and in accordance with AMA guidelines
  • EPA members should wear their badges when flying
  • Use the frequency pins and attach them to your transmitter even if you are flying alone.
  • If someone else is waiting for the frequency pin, limit your flight to 20 minutes.
  • The use of frequency tags on transmitters is encouraged and appreciated.
  • Fly from designated locations or pilot stations.
  • Alert other flyers before takeoff and landing.
  • Verbally announce all maiden flights to everyone present on the field in case of a mishap or loss of control.
  • The departure turn should always be away from the pit area
  • Under no circumstances is flying over the soccer field permitted when someone is there regardless of what they are doing.
  •  Always keep your aircraft at a safe distance from other pilots when performing approaches or low fly bys.
  • Dead sticks and gliders should always be given landing and pattern priority.
  • If you must go onto the field when others are flying, announce it verbally and loudly to the other pilots.
  • Please be sure guests and spectators are briefed on safety and remain off the field.
  • Never perform aircraft maintenance on the field when others are flying.
  • When salvaging a model do it quickly, and vacate the field as soon as possible
  • Do not create distractions to other flyers.
  • Some pilots do not mind being approached when they are flying but some do. If you wish to converse with a pilot, it may be best to wait until he or she lands.
  • Please control your children and pets at all times
  • Kindly take any broken or other trash with you when you leave.
